Iron is the 4th most common metal on earth! The earliest known use of iron dates back to around 3500 BC in Egypt, where iron beads crafted from a meteor were discovered.
Iron production technology spread from Egypt to the world, starting around 1500 BC in the Middle East.
By 1000 BC it was active in Turkey, Greece, and Europe, reaching Britain and France by 800 BC and Ireland by around 500 BC. Now jump to 2024, we use iron for many things!!
